Welcome

A winter address, rewritten.

The Rico is a special place year-round, but it truly comes into its own from November through May, when the north is gray and Florida is turning gold. During these months, this fully renovated, two-bedroom, two-bath home becomes a private base for beach mornings, downtown afternoons, and long evenings under the pergola. Less than a mile from the Gulf, directly across from the Intercoastal Waterway, and a short drive from the restaurants and galleries of downtown St. Petersburg, it offers the warm, turnkey ease of a boutique hotel with the privacy of a house that is entirely yours.

The Home

Freshly Remodeled, Thoughtfully Finished.

The Rico feels brand-new the moment you walk in, with nearly every surface, fixture and finish upgraded. An open floor plan connects the living room to a bright kitchen anchored by a bespoke refrigerator and induction range — the kind of details that make cooking for weeks on end a small pleasure rather than a chore.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for morning coffee, evening meals, and everything in between. Fresh linens, towels, and bedding are provided as well, so you can arrive with little more than a suitcase and a sense of ease.

A tankless water heater delivers endless hot water. An in-unit washer and dryer means no laundry runs. It arrives fully furnished and truly turnkey — bring your books, your sandals, and your intentions for the season.

Outdoor Living

The best room is outside.

Step outside to a west-facing backyard where the patio becomes a warm, welcoming outdoor room. Start the morning with coffee in one of the comfortable gliders, linger over dinner beneath the pergola, or fire up the grill and gather around the table for six.

As evening settles in, it becomes one of the best places at The Rico — a quiet spot to enjoy the sunset, or pour a glass of wine and settle beneath a canopy of stars that shine surprisingly bright.

And after the beach, enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower — with endless hot water and strong pressure — it is a small, invigorating indulgence that changes how a coastal day feels and may become one of your favorite parts of the house.

Work from Anywhere

A workday that keeps up with you.

A dedicated desk sits by a window in a quiet corner of the home — a proper place to think, take calls, and finish real work before the afternoon opens up. An external monitor and keyboard are available on request, so you can arrive with a laptop and leave your travel setup behind.

Gigabit fiber Wi-Fi runs strong throughout the house, and the sunroom makes a natural second office when you want a change of light.

The neighborhood

The Rico sits less than a mile from St. Pete Beach, close enough to walk and far enough to feel like your own quiet enclave. The Intercoastal Waterway runs across the street, and the surrounding blocks are made for slow evening walks.

Getting around

When you're ready to venture out, the Freebee is a charming local shuttle that will pick you up and carry you anywhere in St. Pete Beach. It's a fun, effortless way to reach the sand, a favorite restaurant, or wherever the evening leads.

Arriving

Getting to The Rico is easy, too. It's a quick 35-minute drive from Tampa International Airport (TPA) and even less from the St. Pete / Clearwater Airport (PIE).

The Beach by Day

Your easy path to the beach.

The real luxury is in the access. Your stay at The Rico includes a dedicated neighborhood walkway that leads straight to the beach, along with access to a small, permit-only parking lot that sits right across Gulf Blvd. That means no resort crowds, no public parking hunt, and no long trek with chairs in hand — just a short, easy walk to the Gulf and the sugary soft sand of St. Pete Beach.

We have left the essentials ready: beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and a beach cart. Carry less, stay longer, and let the warm water and white sand become the easy rhythm of your stay.
